This region of the Hindu Kush may be a zone in which Central Asian cannabis landraces (Indicas) have hybridized with cannabis landraces from the monsoonal and tropical regions of South Asia (Sativas).
For further reading on Indicas vs Sativas see the crucial 2020 paper on endangered cannabis landraces and their wild-growing relatives published by Ernest Small and John McPartland.
Plant photos show individuals from this accession at 40° N in mid July.
