An unusual charas landrace from nearby Kashmir in a highland regions known as the Galyat Himalaya. This appears to be the westernmost region in which the Himalayan hand-rubbing technique is typically used to harvest resin.

Murree is an alpine district that receives intense monsoon rains, like Kashmir to its immediate east. Grown at around 2500 metres, this intensely resinous landrace is adapted to high rainfall and humidity. The strain can show the red-stem trait. Leaflets are broad- to medium-width, like western Kashmiri landraces and strains to the north in the Hindu Kush. Similarly, aromas range from sweet citrus and floral to gas and burnt rubber.

Recommend to collectors seeking Kashmiri or rare Himalayan landraces.
